Step Up for Your Community

Volunteer with Edison FPD & Tri-County FPD

Rural communities depend on neighbors helping neighbors. Edison Fire Protection District and Tri-County Fire Protection District in Colorado need dedicated volunteers ready to roll up their sleeves and serve. Whether you’re answering the call in an emergency, driving water tenders across backroads, or lending a hand at the station, there’s a place for you here.

Volunteering isn’t just about fighting fires; it’s about protecting your home, family, and way of life. Join a team that values hard work, commitment, and small-town pride.

Our departments need people who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Firefighters, EMTs, administrative personnel, and ground support all play a role in keeping our community safe. If you have a Class A CDL with a tanker endorsement, we could use you behind the wheel of our water tenders.

Every run counts. Whether cutting fire lines, stabilizing an accident scene, or keeping the department running smoothly, you’ll make a difference where it matters most.

Together, our departments provide Firefighter I and Basic EMT training and certifications. We also offer Wildland Firefighter I & II certifications, crash recovery, extrication, and FEMA leadership courses.
All at no cost to you.

Serve where you live. Respond to calls from home, work flexible shifts, and make an impact on your community.

We believe in building strong firefighters and EMTs. Whether you’re looking for skills to help your neighbors or a pathway to a career, we’ll get you the training you need.
